Exploring the World – One Image at a Time

Saskatchewan wild life

PWP Week of June 21, 2020

Happy Sunday!  My week went fast, how was yours.  This week we have some action shots.  Flying ducks and bees; running coyote and deer.  My assistant the Trail camera caught some great ones of the deer that live in our pasture.  We are pretty dry here and a caught Quill having a dust bath.  Think he was trying to impress the ladies.  One evening we had an unwanted guest on our front lawn.  This shot was taken thru the window as I wasn’t going outside. Went on a road trip but the only shots I have from it are the ones of the mule deer doe in action.  The driver didn’t see the photo opportunities I did and wasn’t inclined to stop.  I counted about ten shots that would have fit in here.  Oh well. Hope you enjoy these.  I’m hoping to spend some time in Studio 13 being creative this week.

Come back next week and see what manifested.

Fox Family

I am very fortunate to live where I live.  So many photo opportunities.  There is a family of closes living very close to the farmstead.  I imagine they are related to the ones that have live close for a number of years.  I think I read once that the female will return to where she was born to raise her young.  For what ever reason, I am so glad they are close.  Watching the Kitts play is like having a basket of puppies.  These photos were taken with a Browning Trail Camera.  It has been set up by the den long before the Kitts arrived.  They just think it is part of the scenery.  There are five Kitts in total.  They don’t seem to play outside together all the time.  This may be a survival mode.  I read (yes I do a lot of reading) that out of six only two or three will live to September.  Yes Mother Nature can be cruel.  I hope you enjoy watching them as much as I do.

Survival of the Fittest

I am truly grateful to be living where I live.  There are so many photography opportunities.  At the present there is a family of foxes living close by again.  I am able to have a trail camera close to them and am getting some amazing photos.  The kits have just begun to come out of the den.  Below are a few for now.  Look forward to more!  Click on the thumbnail photo and then arrow thru the collection.
