PWP week of May 21 – May 27 23
Last week of May. Weeks are flying by. I don’t have rain drops on roses but have rain drops on other flora. Even caught a white butterfly feeding on a dandelion. Used my Lensbaby lens for a few shots. It was used it for most of the shots of Chase. We have an invisible fence around 6 acres for the yard to keep the dogs safe. The one of Chase’s head is him waiting by the boundary for me to come back to the yard. I used ICM (in camera movement) for the cherry blossom shot. Was pleased with the result. I caught one gorgeous sunrise this week. Of course we have pups at play. Our lilacs are just starting to bloom and they are beautiful. Our lilac bushes are foundation ones and the fragrance is wonderful. Wonder what this week will bring. I know there will be a special post. Watch for it. PWP week of May 14 – May 20 23
I was starting to think that this weeks addition would be a famine week but Mother Nature came thru with great photo opportunities. One night after a very smoky day the evening sun was shrouded in smoke and I was lucky enough to be out to see it. Spring has definitely arrived bringing greens and yellows. I was able to record this year’s pussy willows and the last stages of it’s development. May is the month fishing begins in my area and I have a few hooks for you to view. I don’t fish so they won’t be used. A visit to our pasture enabled me to see the destruction the beavers can create. One tree became tangled in branched and didn’t fall to the ground after a lot of gnawing by the beaver. Wonder what the beaver thought when nothing came crashing down. As usual we have have shots of friends. Hope you enjoy this weeks contribution and return to see what shows up in front of my lens in the coming week. PWP week of Apr 30 – May 6 23
This week if a feast week. I have lots to share. The usual environmental shots are included. Things that have caught my interest. How man flavors of milkshakes can there be? The lovely little purple flowers are out. Chase and I went hunting them one day Geese are on the move. The shot of Chase and Ninja was taken from a distance thru a garden window to is on the soft side. I included it because I liked it. Caught a shot of the famous V formation. Of course there are shots of dogs and horses. What really padded this weeks post was a visit to the Water Fowl Part in Regina. It was mainly Canadian geese but did find a couple of duck, some pigeons and a rabbit went scooting by as I was leaving. I have never seen red catkins before. Was told they grown on either a poplar tree or aspen. There was a goose feeding in the water and it could kept it’s head under for a long time. Enjoy.
