Flyball

This summer I had an opportunity to watch super fast athletic dogs in a flyball competition. Here is a brief description of flyball from Wikipedia. Flyball is a dog sport in which teams of dogs race against each other from the start to the finish line, over a line of hurdles, to a box that releases a tennis ball to be caught when the dog presses the spring-loaded pad, then back to their handlers while carrying the ball. Very fast action. The dogs are amazing. Any breed can compete. The competition was in a curling arena which made for poor lighting for taking fast action. I pushed my Canon 7D to the limit and it didn’t let me down. Minimal post editing was done to the pictures which I’m very pleased with. I hope you enjoy the shots of these amazing animals.  Click on the image and then right click to move thru the gallery.
