PWP week of Dec 10 – Dec 16 23

Another week had flown by, leaving me in the dust. This week we have another assortment. Christmas shots of course. And dogs. Megs came to visit and Josie proved to be an excellent babysitter. She has her babysitting certificate and is working hard to be the top of Santa’s good list. Presents arrived and one had Snoopy wrapping paper. It is a really good description of winter fun. Took my camera to town one afternoon and cruised main street. Also found a really good use to old tractor tires. Never know what I’ll find. Enjoy. For those of you who follow my posts, I try and have the content posted by 9:00 (CST) Sunday AM. PWP week of Nov 5 – Nov 11 23

The days, weeks are just clicking by. The weather has been exceptionally mild which makes everything better. Except, rain in November is never nice. The roofing we have on our house/barn grows some really long icicles and icy patches on the step which i discovered last night. All is good just a bit tender. Another thing I discovered yesterday, not only is Chase a good model, his beautiful coat makes an awesome back ground. Jewelry and treasures always are fun to preserve. I captured a pretty young lady out with her pup this week. I have a plant in the south winter I’m trying to keep healthy til spring. So far so good. Once again my assistant the trail camera was on the job and caught the coyote as he went thru the pasture.  For those of you who follow my posts, I try and have the content posted by 9:00 (CST) Sunday AM. PWP week of Oct 29 – Nov 4 23

I hope everyone had a fun safe Halloween. This week is another mixed bag. Weather wasn’t great. We had sun, freezing rain, fog and snow. Time to set up Studio 13. I’m not a cold weather kind’ve gal. The magpie and coyote were taken by my assistant the Trail Camera. Hope you enjoy this weeks’ offering.

PWP week of Sept 17 – Sept 23 23

Wow, one more week in September! This month has gone by in a blink of an eye. Lots of colorful leaves this week. We’ve been having strong winds and the leaves are falling fast so I took advantage of the remaining one as I don’t know how long they will be hanging around! Had company one day this week and we toured a couple small towns. I don’t know what the Lady in White represented but she looked nice. There are always treasures to be found. We’ve had a fox going thru the yard setting the dogs off. Could be one that was raised here in the spring. Usually they don’t come back. My assistant – the trail camera caught a couple shots of it. Not Geographic quality but nice to have. It was a quite week, which I know I will have more of, so I persuaded a couple models from the toy-box to work with me. We have some birds and of course dogs – both Chase and Josie. Enjoy! For those of you who follow my posts, I try and have the content posted by 9:00 (CST) Sunday AM. PWP Week of July 30 – August 5 23

Wow — the weeks are flying by. Summer is half over. Sad to say but I’m starting to see signs of fall in my area. Golden rod is blooming; bull rushes in full glory, leaves are changing colors. Our two hummingbirds, which you’ll see, seem to be fueling up. All way to early. This week includes shots of — dogs, Josie and Sassy, the moon, lentils – does anyone make lentil soup. This is what they look like before they reach the pot! I’ve included a few shots from a Mid Summer festival I attended. Great day. A couple tracks to see if I have any trackers following me. Pretty easy to figure out. I don’t know if is the time of year but the skies lately have been gorgeous. One lone horse photo and this would be of my boy Quill. Hope you enjoy this weeks selection. PWP Week of July 23 – July 29 23

Another fun filled week. This week we have an eagle that is king of the sand hill. Barrel racers coming off the first barrel. Some rain drops on hanging baskets and just falling. Looks like snow but is rain. Josie and her love of water. Chase laying and waiting at the door. Mr. Rabbit a plush friend. Portrait of two awesome dogs. More flowers and sky. This week you get to meet the Sunshine Sisters. Enjoy.

PWP Week of July 2 – July 8 23

It was a decent week. Nothing exciting, no major trips. Josie was the model of choice this week. She did well. Loves the water as you can see. Scruffy dropped by and allowed me to dress him up with glasses. It was a pretty bright day. Of course during the photo shot the wind decided to join us and ruffled his hair some. He tolerated that as well. Chase figured he should join in. Guess he figured someone was taking this job. The beautiful quilt was a gift from a friend and as it was wash day and the sun was out, it got to hang out on the line. Someone drew cut images a side walk in town. Wonder if anyone plays the game. I took the shots of the beautiful flowers on a trip into town (the furthest the went all week). That’s it for this week. Not exciting but pleasant. PWP week of Apr 9 – Apr 15 23

Feast or famine that’s the way it goes. This week there was numerous photo opportunities. Easter — Megs had a visit from her friend Candy Floss. Always a pleasure when friends drop in. Mother Nature tried to trick us into believing it was Christmas by showering us with a lot of wet white snow. The horses weren’t impressed. I don’t think anyone was. Thanks to social media I’m able to view other photographer’s work. The ones I really admire are the ones that visit animal shelter and provide photos to increase adoption. I could never do this. I’d end up bringing all the pets home and if not that, do a lot of crying. Those eyes would haunt me forever. So I’ve decided to practice my craft another way. I’m told I have more stuffed animals than most children so I’m going to put them to use. You may have met a few of my plush friends in previous posts. I’m going to stage them as I would an actual pet. It will be good practice for when I met a real model and it will be fun. In this post you will meet Rugs the golden lab puppy. Gus the hound and Fritz the poodle. Along with the real thing – Josie and Chase. I”ve been most fortunate in acquiring the book Dogtography by Kaylee Greer. It is wonderful. Hopefully I will be able to improve my skills some. The little squirrel was back for a short while. Lots to see this week. Hope you enjoy the shots.

PWP week of Apr 2 – Apr 8 23

As the rabbit in Alice in wonder land said — I’m late I’m late. All I an say is that sometimes life gets in the way. I was still driving into the city most days this week so I didn’t get much of a chance for creativity. Mother Nature helped out by sending a mule deer doe and her twins. They have taken residence just north of home. I’ve seen them a number of time. And I remembered to leave a camera in the car. Megs came for an Easter visit and I was able to get some Easter photos of her and her friend. It’s always fun to have an infant photo shot. My Easter plush friend came out of the box for a quick play session. There are no sky shots or dog shots this week. Happy Easter to all. Hope you enjoy this weeks contribution. PWP week of Mar 23 – Apr 1 23

I’m cutting it pretty close today. We are told there is another batch of bad weather heading our way so was getting the outside prepared. Another assortment for this week. Hauled out some props. Figured I’d better make use of the snow while it was still here. Megs and Josie had a bonding session. Josie is so good with her and posing. Of course we have skies and dogs. Unfortunately I’ve been spending time at a hospital. I had to laugh when I saw this sign. There were two beds parked along the wall. The amethyst crystal is to replace a rose crystal I had the same shape. Hope you enjoy this weeks contribution.
