PWP Nov 19 – Nov 25 2023
I had the camera out a bit this week. The pups had their 3rd birthday so photos were a must. They’ve sure changed. All grown up, so fast. We had two huge Rottweilers visit one morning. Guess they were out for a tour. Thank goodness Chase respects his boundaries, and the visitors stayed on the road. They found their way home. While at the pet store one day, I saw that a Pet had taken her owner over to stock up on supplies. Either that or the Pet was driving the getaway car! A few mornings have been foggy hence the pretty trees. Spent some time at Agribition and saw part of the heavy horse pull. There was only 3 teams competing, and one was out when I got their. Once again the sky was beautiful. Such vivid colors. I spent a bit of time practicing post editing skills with a beautiful doll. More practice is needed. PWP week of Oct 22 – Oct 28 23
The camera had a well deserved rest this week. The white stuff arrived and I’m not a big fan of winter. I could have taken lots of photos of the skies as they were spectacular but figures I had enough of sky shots for awhile. So we have shots of the moon. Still practicing but seem to be getting a bit better. I tried a bit of ICM – in camera movement. And I used some of the presets on some flowers. They are fun to try. We had a visitor one day and I don’t think he was anymore happy to see the snow than I was. He didn’t hang around very long. Tuff arrived on the deck for a short visit. I wonder what next week will bring.

PWP week of Oct 8 – Oct 14 23
Frost on the pumpkin this morning. We’ve had a few mornings with frost. A fungi, I’m not familiar with the names of mushroom, but one decided to grow on the edge of our gravel road. It lasted for a number of days until someone ran over it. We’ve had some colorful skies this week. A lot of pink/red in the clouds. I was out with my dish soap and water combating the maple bugs and created some huge bubblies. They lasted a while too. As I drove down the road one morning, this beautiful cat was in the field. There were a couple of farms in the area so I hope it made it back home. Houses are starting to decorate for Halloween. I stopped to get a shot of one, I will see if I can capture more of the spooky creativity. Finally I was able to get a decent shot of the moon and a star thanks to a Udemy Night Photography course. Now I’m just waiting for a full moon. Of course there are dog pictures. Josie and her favorite ball and the pair of them posing. We’ve had some strong winds but the leaves are holding on so I keeping capturing them as one day they will be gone. Our resident fox and been traveling through the barn yard as this shot shows. I managed to shot a bit of variety hope you enjoy the shots. For those of you who follow my posts, I try and have the content posted by 9:00 (CST) Sunday AM. PWP week of Sept 10 – Sept 16 23
This was a slow week for the camera and I. Sometimes life keeps interfering with my fun time. My little earth mover provided some entertainment. Think she was digging to china the way she went at the job. I knew where the birdhouses lived and thought I’d share the creative designs. Some are very artistic. They do brighten the area up! Mother Nature provided color. Don’t see many shades of red but lots of varied yellow. The leaves are fallen fast as we’ve had a few strong winds. Our hummingbirds are on their way south but a robin is still with us. A few garden adornments are still in gardens and not put away for the season. Had to share the happy little dog! Someone must have been partying on the road I drive and left behind a dead soldier. Hope you enjoy this weeks offering. PWP week of Sept 5 – Sept 9 23
Fall is moving along in my part of the country. Leaves are changing their colors and a lot have fallen to the ground already. Harvest is in full motion also. My hummingbirds have started their journey south. Safe travels little ones, see you next year. I experimented some with presets this week. Was pleased with the effect. On a road trip saw the beautiful black ravine. He looks totally black but as you will see he has many beautiful colors. He was in no hurry to be somewhere else. The young hawk sat and watched as I turned where he indicated. The cattle along the way were enjoying the grass a bit of rain had refreshed. The greenery and flower of a pumpkin plant was nice to see in a urban setting. The dog walkers travelled by me as I sat along a street. The little one was the only one that seemed to have noticed me. The lab was motoring along on three legs. Not having four was no bother to him at all. He was a happy fellow. The abstract shots are from incense burning. I will see if I can perfect my technique. The plane was shot thru the vehicle window as we left the city. No, I wasn’t driving. The two autumn shots are of the Qu’Appelle valley. That’s it for this week. Hope you enjoy what I found this week. For those of you who follow my posts, I try and have the content posted by 9:00 (CST) Sunday AM. Brand new
Where I live, Saskatchewan, we have been having wonderful mild weather. For this time of year. Last week we had a good old fashion storm. Haven’t seen one like this for a long time. High winds, blowing snow, power outages. When morning came it was a brand new world, covered in snow, creating a winter wonderland. Mild tempetures still holding enabling The Boy and I to get out and explore. Here is some of what we saw.
Where is the Sun?
We’ve had cold weather, we’ve had snow, we’ve had wind. Now this morning we have fog. As thick as soup. With fog comes frost and sometime some great photos. I was out this morning with the camera. Check out the Gallery – A frost morning and see a bit of what I saw.
