The magpie and coyote were taken by my assistant the Trail Camera. Hope you enjoy this weeks’ offering.

Frost on the pumpkin this morning. We’ve had a few mornings with frost. A fungi, I’m not familiar with the names of mushroom, but one decided to grow on the edge of our gravel road. It lasted for a number of days until someone ran over it. We’ve had some colorful skies this week. A lot of pink/red in the clouds. I was out with my dish soap and water combating the maple bugs and created some huge bubblies. They lasted a while too. As I drove down the road one morning, this beautiful cat was in the field. There were a couple of farms in the area so I hope it made it back home. Houses are starting to decorate for Halloween. I stopped to get a shot of one, I will see if I can capture more of the spooky creativity. Finally I was able to get a decent shot of the moon and a star thanks to a Udemy Night Photography course. Now I’m just waiting for a full moon. Of course there are dog pictures. Josie and her favorite ball and the pair of them posing. We’ve had some strong winds but the leaves are holding on so I keeping capturing them as one day they will be gone. Our resident fox and been traveling through the barn yard as this shot shows. I managed to shot a bit of variety hope you enjoy the shots. For those of you who follow my posts, I try and have the content posted by 9:00 (CST) Sunday AM. PWP week of Mar 5 – Mar 11 23
The end of this week we had a good old blizzard. Was pretty intense for a while. The pups and I ventured out when there was a a bit of a break and visited the horses. Jazz’s ears where outlined in white. Up until yesterday the deer in our area were finding it difficult to get down to the grass due to the hardened snow. Now there is more snow to contended with on the hardened surface. One evening we had a herd of mule deer come to the yard. They migrated to the area we feed the horses. And more wildlife came to the yard this week. There seems to be an abundance of prairie chicken this year. Later in the day the flock I took pictures of went right through the yard. I never know what my camera with catch on any given day. For those of you who follow my posts, I try and have the content posted by 9:00 (CST) Sunday AM. Brand new
Where I live, Saskatchewan, we have been having wonderful mild weather. For this time of year. Last week we had a good old fashion storm. Haven’t seen one like this for a long time. High winds, blowing snow, power outages. When morning came it was a brand new world, covered in snow, creating a winter wonderland. Mild tempetures still holding enabling The Boy and I to get out and explore. Here is some of what we saw.
Winter Painter
In winter in my area, you never know what awaits you when you awake. Sky could be blue weather and cold. Visibility could be zero due to blowing snow when you look out. One morning, was clear and when I looked at the vehicles, I saw to my delight that Jack Frost the painter had visited. Each window had different etchings. Some reminded my of fine crystal. I’m sharing a few of the designs that I was able to photograph. Enjoy.
Where is the Sun?
We’ve had cold weather, we’ve had snow, we’ve had wind. Now this morning we have fog. As thick as soup. With fog comes frost and sometime some great photos. I was out this morning with the camera. Check out the Gallery – A frost morning and see a bit of what I saw.
